The Marketing Manager, based in London,reporting to the Senior Regional Marketing Manager locally, will support marketing and sales enablement initiatives for Investor Services products, services, and segments globally to ensure a consistently high level of internal and external marketing, sales support, and communications.
This individual will be responsible for building and executing multi-channel marketing plans to deliver product/service/segment messaging in an effective and differentiated way, working closely with marketing colleagues globally and in close collaboration with BBH’s product executives, global sales and relationship managers. The Marketing Manager is responsible for advising on and monitoring marketing budget spend for their region and working with the Marketing Operations teams to establish metrics to evaluate ROI.
This person should have over 5 years’ experience running B2B marketing and communications strategies and have a strong understanding of the financial services industry. As this role will likely support our Alternatives Fund Servicing and/or ETF servicing solutions, marketing experience or other work experience in those areas would be a strong advantage.
S/he should be an excellent communicator, with strong presentation and writing skills, and be confident in driving projects forward proactively and independently and managing multiple and changing priorities and deadlines. Strong stakeholder management skills are critical, as is the ability to think outside the box and respond quickly to changing business needs. The role will be supported by central resources in the areas of graphic design, marketing compliance, social & digital marketing, public relations (PR) and content/thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Product/Segment Marketing
  • Establish and maintain a targeted, insight-led marketing strategy and budget, together with key business stakeholders, and monitor and adjust as appropriate throughout the year.
  • Create and maintain product level internal and external messaging and talking points to arm client facing individuals
  • Deliver new ideas and thinking to the business, constantly driving innovative and creative strategies and tactics from marketing, demonstrating how efforts can help meet both business and brand objectives
  • Create and continuously enhance sales/marketing collateral and tools for Sales, Relationship Managers and Product teams to educate clients and prospects on our capabilities.
  • Facilitate new product launches coordinating with product experts to identify message points and fit within broader BBH product suite, and create materials as appropriate
  • Work together with the business teams to complete competitive analyses of products, services, collateral, & websites. As part of the analysis, ensure the positioning and marketing strategies from competitors are being properly captured, informing our own market position and differentiation
  • Ability to turn insights into action-orientated recommendations.
  • Manage an industry or product-specific conference and events calendar, working with the Sales, Relationship Managers and Product teams to identify key conference and BBH hosted event opportunities for sponsorship, brand building and executive visibility. working closely with the Global Conferences and Events Manager.
  • Help create a content program in partnership with the centralized content/thought leadership discipline (including an editorial team). Work with select subject matter experts to publish a calendar of timely and relevant articles, whitepapers, videos, infographics, and blog posts to position BBH as a thought leader. Assist with the content creation where required
  • Contribute to the PR strategy, assisting with interview prep and press releases for new products in conjunction with the Global PR Manager
Sales Enablement
  • Participate in new business marketing support – either with key pitches or deal teams - for key client and prospects with Sales, Relationship Managers and Product areas, which can include:
    • influencing and assisting the deal team build the pitch story and articulate client benefits and how BBH sets ourselves apart from the competition
    • bringing the story and key differentiators to life with visuals / customized sales tools, for both in-person and virtual pitches
    • creating memorable pitches – ensuring we are most effectively delivering our value proposition and demonstrating how we are different
  • Manage the full process of idea generating, story development, content creation and final delivery of materials to the pitch team for presentation / submission
  • Coordinate directly with other marketing managers, subject matter experts, sales and product contacts in the development of customized sales collateral
  • Provide ongoing maintenance of sales presentations and other marketing collateral such as brochures, product sheets, etc.
Compliance
  • Work with Global Marketing core areas and Compliance to ensure a coordinated approach to approval of all external marketing and sales materials.
Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing field or equivalent qualification required.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a B2B strategic marketing role is an essential requirement, with a proven track record of executing multi-channel marketing programs and measuring outcomes.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the global asset management and/or asset servicing industry and/or institutional banking is required either within marketing/communications functions, or within business line functions. Direct experience of working in securities services, specifically in Alternatives or Exchange Traded Funds, would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience of working within global and matrixed team structures is also important.

  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and strong sense of accountability for projects undertaken
  • Strong creativity and ability to convey key strategic messaging in print and multimedia
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required, particularly in PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce, Seismic and Marketo experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience of account-based marketing or deal-based marketing programs would be an advantage
