The Sports Marketing Manager is responsible for executing our approach to leverage the growing phenomenon of Bike life and BMX to maximise brand and business objectives. The role will also assist in developing and executing our initiatives, branded content and athlete selection and sponsorships.
This role will be to build a marketing team and wire across various action sports verticals
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement action sports strategies across all pillars of Action Sports
- Negotiation and Execution of athlete contracts
- Create programing and individual athlete strategies for events, grassroots and content.
- Create strong endemic partnerships
- Continual immersion in and monitoring of the Sports industry to identify new opportunities to engage participants, fans and partners
- Assist in planning, developing and executing Collective's core Action Sports agenda including events, athlete sponsorships and branded content
- Manage our athletes and partners in action sports pillars. BMX and Bike Life.
- Facilitate status and update meetings to the Managing Director.
- Establish budget, track spending and ROI.
- Attract new followers and connections via social channels and networks.
- Design and manage digital marketing campaigns.
- Write scripts for blog and video posts that share stories about the inventory, the market, and the community
- Draft newsletters and templates, write content narratives, create calls to action for posts and print.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Undergraduate degree
- MBA with a concentration in Marketing or Sports Marketing (preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years prior work experience (if Undergrad degree only) OR 3 years of prior work experience (if Advanced degree)
- 3 years of relevant marketing and/or sports marketing experience and a strong understanding of brands/brand building within the Action Sports vertical
- Strong knowledge of and passion for sports business and brand marketing
- Ability to effectively collaborate, communicate and influence in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships
- High level of professional maturity – ability to manage up/down and strong interpersonal skills for interaction with internal/external senior leaders
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
