An exciting opportunity has opened up to join the Castleford Tigers' Media & Marketing department, with a close link to our Commercial team.
Job Title: Marketing Executive
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week (in addition to matchdays and events where required)
Salary: Negotiable

Reporting to: Commercial Director
Role Summary
The successful applicant will play a key part in the delivery of Castleford Tigers’ marketing activities, in order to maintain and enhance the strong Tigers brand with an increased focus on digital marketing and developing our marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering the club’s marketing plan and marketing activities to meet the long term vision and goals of the club.
- Work with club staff to create and deliver a marketing and content plan for the club’s marketing output, including digital activities, social media, website, and e-marketing activities.
- Working with the media team to manage the club’s social media channels including all the Tiger teams, with emphasis on the First Team match day experience for supporters. This role includes providing a 24-hour social media and media contact cover for the club and must be able to deal with sensitive news in a confidential and timely manner.
- Creatively making content for the club's online channels to help promote the club, fixtures, and events throughout the year – using creativity and flair to create engaging content in both written and video format.
- Work alongside the club's design agency to constantly deliver original and engaging artwork.
- Editing and writing content for our monthly magazine ROAR - creating engaging news articles and more specific rugby-related news stories.
- Working with our commercial team to promote and enhance relationships with the club’s partners including writing partner stories and organising partner media opportunities
- Liaison with the First Team to fulfil player appearances and requests, as well as working with our official Supporters Club and Fan Steering Group.
Personal Skills
- Experience in a marketing role including digital marketing, content creation and implementation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with media.
- A driven individual with a desire to achieve and exceed targets.
- Enthusiastic, punctual and reliable.
- A clear, polite and professional manner.
- Approachable and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willing to go above and beyond.
- Having a good understanding of professional rugby league is desirable.
The role will suit a highly organised person, who can juggle numerous tasks while having the ability to prioritise your workload when other projects come in that need quick attention. A background in sport or rugby league is desirable.
This is a full-time permanent position, and the successful candidate will be required to work matchdays and events.
