Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven marketing professional to join Harrison as our Marketing Director.

The role involves ensuring that marketing initiatives are successful, proactive, and captivating, whilst enhancing customer retention, maximising profits, and increasing the company's overall market presence. As Marketing Director, you will oversee the Marketing Manager and will take overall responsibility of the marketing strategies for the whole company, focusing on the larger scope and making strategic decisions for the future of the company and managing the marketing budget.

The Marketing Director's main objective is to enhance business performance through a high-performing marketing strategy that promotes brand development. This includes effective digital and cross-channel marketing, such as content and affiliate marketing, as well as offline and online media campaigns and customer experience activities, to ensure the company remains competitive within its industry.

We are seeking a senior leader who will become a key spokesperson for the company, with an aptitude to lead by example and ability bring in best-practice marketing ideas and innovation to keep Harrison at the forefront of the industry.

Job Tasks

The job holder is expected to proficiently undertake the following tasks:

1. Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to align with company objectives, driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

2. Oversee the planning and execution of all marketing campaigns, including digital, creative, and experiential marketing initiatives.

3. Manage and optimise marketing budget allocation across various channels to achieve maximum ROI.

4. Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to identify target audiences, market opportunities, and consumer preferences.

5. Conduct market research and utilise data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and product development, to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaigns and messaging.

7. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, business partners, and industry influencers to enhance brand visibility and obtain media coverage.

9. Oversee the planning and execution of all company events, trade shows, and sponsorships to maximise brand exposure and generate leads.

10. Monitor and analyse marketing metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports and insights to the other members of the senior leadership team.

11. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing tools to continuously improve our marketing efforts.

The Person

To carry out the duties above, the following skills, competencies and experiences are necessary:

1. Experience in the role of Marketing Director or working in a lead marketing position such as Head of Marketing.

2. Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) professional diploma or a qualification from the Institute of Data and Marketing

3. Strong track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, social media, and traditional marketing.

4. In-depth knowledge of market research and analysis techniques, including use of marketing automation and data analytics tools.

5. Strong leadership qualities and experience leading and managing a marketing team.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to help build a pipeline of leads.

7. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

8. Demonstrated experience in managing and optimising marketing budgets to achieve business objectives.

9. Proficient in marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools.

10. A B2B marketing expert with a good understanding of building ecommerce brands.

11. Solid understanding of brand management principles and the ability to develop and maintain a strong brand identity.

12. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 39.5 hours per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £70,000.00 per year
