As Movement Schools continues to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking a talented Social Media Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team and help shape our brand presence across various social media platforms. The Social Media Marketing Coordinator at Movement Schools will play a pivotal role in amplifying our brand and expanding our online presence. The primary focus of this position will be on social media management and branding initiatives. Reporting directly to the Movement Schools CEO, you will collaborate closely with the leadership team to develop and execute engaging marketing campaigns, create compelling content, and manage our social media platforms. Additionally, the Social Media Marketing Coordinator will manage the CEO's social media presence to ensure a consistent and robust presence that amplifies the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities of the Social Media Marketing Coordinator will include but are not limited to:

Social Media Management

  • Manage and maintain our social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Stay current with emerging trends and best practices
  • Maintain website and all social media platforms
  • Develop a social media content calendar and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation
  • Monitor social media channels for relevant conversations and engagement opportunities, and respond to comments and messages in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Implement and manage social media advertising campaigns to reach targeted audiences effectively, including budgeting, targeting, and optimization
  • Monitor and report on social media metrics, such as engagement rate, reach, and follower growth, to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and inform future decision-making
  • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar for the CEO's accounts that aligns with the organization's overall marketing strategy and objectives
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to identify and create content that supports the organization's mission and goals

Marketing Strategy

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute branding initiatives, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
  • Conduct market research to identify key trends, demographics, and insights to inform marketing strategies
  • Coordinate and organize marketing events, both online and offline, to promote our schools and engage with our community
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Support the marketing team with various administrative tasks, such as data entry, scheduling, and maintaining marketing databases

Content Creation

  • Create and curate engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written materials, for social media channels
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations, to support promotional efforts

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably with a focus on social media and branding; preferred experience in K-12 education, social justice, or non-profit organizations/initiatives, but not required
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for content creation
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually appealing content
  • Proficiency in social media management tools, Hootsuite or Sprout Social
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and contribute fresh ideas
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Passion for education and a genuine interest in making a positive impact on students' lives
The starting compensation for this role is $40,000. While we expect that most candidates will start at this salary, starting pay will depend on various factors that may include but are not limited to professional experience, education, training, certifications, and tenure with Movement Schools.
