Summary of role
The Conversion Marketing Assistant will help us recruit high quality students through a range of marketing activities, creativity and personal drive. We’re looking for someone who is customer focused and can connect with the audience and help them navigate the university application process. You will help manage our customer enquiries, build an engaging community with prospective students, deliver student-led content and support the wider Student Recruitment Team at Escape Studios.
This is a varied role, and you’ll also work on a range of marketing and recruitment projects. These include email marketing campaigns, attending student recruitment fairs, promoting our taster days, gathering content from current students and conducting campus tours.
You’ll engage with prospective students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders on a daily basis by managing enquiries email inboxes, making/taking telephone calls and monitoring the live chat function on our website.
You’ll also support the Student Recruitment team with higher education fairs, workshops, presentations, school visits, and other events working with teachers and careers advisors. All activities could be either in a face-to-face setting or virtual.
You will be managed by the Conversion and Marketing Manager and be part of a team that nurtures prospective students from enquiry to when they enrol. This is a fast-paced role, and you’ll need a high attention to detail to manage multiple projects and work with spreadsheets/CRM systems. Team fit is important to us and we’re looking for someone who has lots of drive, is keen to learn and who can use their initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Conversion and Marketing manager to create and deliver undergraduate marketing campaigns to prospective students, applicants and offer holders. This will include sending email, updating web pages, scheduling social media posts and running direct mail campaigns.
- Create new and innovative ways to support prospective students at all stages of their customer journey and drive engagement with our community through marketing best practices.
- Manage the enquiries inboxes and respond to emails from prospective students and stakeholders. You’ll be communicating with students on a daily basis via email, telephone, and website live chat.
- Deliver impeccable customer service through careful attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude, keeping a close eye on new developments at the College as they happen.
- Manage taster day marketing campaigns including direct mail, emails, keeping CRM up to date, social media and paid advertising.
- Administrate and lead personal campus tours for prospective students.
- Maintain accurate customer records in our CRM system (Salesforce) and comply with GDPR requirements.
- Attend student recruitment events such as UCAS conventions, open days, taster days and school visits during key periods throughout the cycle.
- Willingness and ability to travel and to work occasional evenings and weekends to support out of hours events (with time off in-lieu).
Competencies
Essential:
- An interest in marketing/student recruitment/customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for copywriting. Able to follow our tone of voice and comfortable speaking with external stakeholders including prospective students, parents/carers, teachers, and members of the public
- Administration skills and comfortable handling data and using spreadsheets with keen attention to detail
- Approach projects as a self-starter and use your own initiative to solve problems
- An interest in marketing and willingness to learn about marketing communications including print, digital, social, email and events
- A positive attitude and flexibility in your approach to work and working with colleagues
- Experience managing multiple projects and working to deadlines.
Desirable skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a customer service role and dealing with enquiries from customers
- Ability to analyse data to inform decisions
- An aptitude for Office 365 and other apps
- A knowledge of Higher Education
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
