The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly energetic marketing professional to bring innovative marketing strategies to support our growing business. You will be responsible for the creative process. From digital to brick-and-mortar you will bring seamless continuity to our group of companies, bringing our brand to life.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities
- Implement marketing plans that include print, broadcast, and online content.
- Create branded online advertising campaigns that compliments the in-store promotions and support the marketing, category and design teams by coordinating and collating content.
- Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities and upcoming trends.
- Evolve and manage all internal communication systems.
- Create, maintain, and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues.
- Traffic all advertising efforts to the appropriate channels
- Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities
- Conduct research of market trends, customer behavior, and competitor landscape, and prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing data
- Collaborate with the design department to produce promotional materials
- Ensure that all marketing efforts serve immediate and long-term business goals by identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
- Support the marketing director in establishing and evaluating marketing strategy by assembling sales forecasts, setting objectives, organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Order and maintain promotional material inventory
- Support the planning process for AGM, tradeshows, and seasonal events; identity, assemble, and coordinate requirements establish contacts, and develop schedules and assignments.
- Research industry-relevant products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research database
- Ensuring project deadlines are met.
- Assess issues as they arise, provide solutions where applicable, escalate issues accordingly, and supply support for site level use.

- Manage print contractors and other promotional vendors.
Requirements
- A Team player with great interpersonal skills
- Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated with an ability to work under minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related (essential).
- Two years of experience in content management, creative writing, advertising concepts, and media negotiations.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior.
- Expert knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Ability to gather large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful analysis.
- Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
This role is a permanent, full-time position working from our office in Kelowna.
