Marketing Assistant
- Based Cargo, Carlisle – CA6 4BA.
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm
We have an excellent opportunity for you to develop your career in marketing as a Marketing Assistant, supporting our central marketing department.
Based at our Carlisle site you will be a key member of our marketing team, assisting with the delivery of our marketing strategy through creation, assistance and development of marketing materials and content.
Specifically, some responsibilities of a Marketing Assistant are to:
- Support the development of the profile of the BSW Timber brand and products.
- Assist with the creation of literature and other marketing collateral, online and offline.
- Organise and attend events such as trade shows, trade days, customer training and product photo shoots.
- Maintain the group’s range of brand websites, developing and updating digital content.
- Manage, develop, and grow our range of brand social media channels.
- Copywrite and proofread marketing and PR materials.
- Support internal and external communications campaigns.
- Assist with departmental administrative support.
About you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and motivated individual who can think outside the box. With experience in marketing or with the relevant transferable skills, you’ll have:
- Excellent computer skills across all Microsoft programmes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience managing or maintaining social media accounts.
- A creative approach and a high level of attention to detail.
A formal qualification in marketing, PR, journalism or relevant real-world experience and a competency using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign) would be advantageous.
