Marketing Communications Manager

The Role
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the in-practice and CRM communication that supports over 380 dental practices across four dental brands based in the UK and ROI. They will be responsible for the creation and updating of key communication, ensuring they are on brand, on message and adhere to our compliance standards. Supported by the Senior Marketing Manager, this role will ensure our patient communication strategy is market leading.
Accountabilities & Activities:
- In-practice communication – responsible for the creation and approvals of our in-practice communication spanning marketing, mandatory and clinical communications. This role will utilise our existing channels, such as POS and in-practice TV, but also look at ways we can make our in-practice communication more accessible, digital and sustainable.
- CRM communication – working with the Head of CRM, this role will be responsible for the creation of our CRM patient communications, ensuing they are compelling, on-brand and complement our overarching customer journey. They will also own the communications that are sent via our Practice Management System (PMS).
- Special projects – from regulatory updates to business changes, there are always projects that require a customer communications focus. This position will play a vital role in writing any customer communications for multi-channel use, so an ability to write copy that is customer centric is essential.
- Local marketing support – working closely with our external print partner, they will manage our MStore and associated £500k budget. This web to print portal houses hundreds of assets called-off by our practices. The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for ensuring the right assets are available whilst driving efficiencies where possible. This role will also support the Local Marketing team with new marketing requests where needed.
- Compliance and process – ensuring our communications are both compelling, compliant and customer centric are essential. They will be responsible for ensuring the teams sign off processes are fit for purpose and will work closely with Compliance to make sure our communications have the right balance of message. They will champion compliance within the team and be the MMS (internal approval system) super-user.
- Team work – this role will need to work with other team members and stakeholders to deliver success. They will need to leverage experience and learnings with peers and role model the Bupa values.
Qualifications, Training & Experience:
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent
- At least 5 years marketing experience with experience in marketing communications, planning and execution
- Experience in writing and editing copy
- Customer focused with experience of delivering insight based communications
- Excellent project management, planning and organisational abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Pro-active self starter with a can-do attitude; uses initiative to make things happen
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Budget management preferred, but not essential.
