The Role…
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Designer to join our Global Marketing Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing captivating and effective email campaigns, ensuring consistency across various digital platforms, and contributing to the development of a new email design system. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to source images, create communications journey maps, and contribute to the overall success of our marketing initiatives. The Marketing Communications Designer will report to the Global Head Digital Marketing
Main Duties…
Email design:
- Design visually appealing and engaging email campaigns that align with the Soho House brand and marketing objectives
- Collaborate with members of the Marketing team to develop creative concepts and design solutions that effectively convey campaign messages and calls-to-action
- Create responsive and mobile-friendly email templates that deliver an optimal user experience across different devices and email clients
- Incorporate dynamic elements, graphics, and animations to enhance email content and engagement
Production design for email and web:
- Produce layouts for global communications on a weekly basis, adhering to brand guidelines and our email design system, ensuring a consistent and elevated member experience
- Optimize and prepare assets for digital platforms, ensuring fast load times and optimal image quality
- Collaborate with developers and content creators to implement designs seamlessly within email and web environments
Email design system:
- Contribute to the development and evolution of a comprehensive email design system that streamlines design processes and maintains visual consistency across all email communications
- Establish guidelines, templates, and best practices for the Marketing team to ensure a cohesive and efficient design workflow
Image sourcing:
- Source and curate relevant and impactful imagery for global email campaigns and web projects that align with strategy, goals, and messaging
- Support in maintaining an organized library of visual assets for easy access and use by the marketing team
Journey mapping:
- Collaborate with Marketing, Membership and Digital teams to map out user experiences and customer touchpoints across various communication channels
- Utilize journey maps to inform design decisions that enhance user engagement and satisfaction
Requirements / Qualifications...
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in marketing communications design, with a strong portfolio showcasing email design, web design, and production skills
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, or Sketch
- Experience in responsive design and a deep understanding of user experience (UX) principles
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking, with the ability to transform ideas into visually compelling designs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality work within deadlines
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email design is a plus
