Summary: The Secondary Marketing Manager is responsible for interest rate risk management, mortgage loan sale commitments, and investor relationships. Follow company and compliance policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for analyzing and managing interest rate risk for mortgage loans in pipeline and inventory.
2. Maintain proper hedge on pipeline utilizing MBS forwards or Treasury Futures option contracts.
3. Perform mark to market analysis on loan pipeline projecting gain on sale of loans for daily and monthly reporting.
4. Maintain and create pricing rules and loan program guidelines in loan processing system and other secondary marketing systems.
5. Execute secondary market whole loan sales to investors and agencies as well as securitizing loans in FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA pools using best execution methods.
6. Execute master commitments with all agencies to ensure proper pipeline coverage.
7. Research and develop new investor relationships and programs.
8. Responsible for monthly ALCO and Product Development meetings to discuss new programs or necessary changes to existing program guidelines.
9. Manage secondary customer service desk for rate extensions, renegotiations, and other loan officer questions and assistance.
10. Manage agency and whole loan shipping departments.
11. Responsible for the pricing, preparation, and delivery of the mortgage daily rate sheet to ensure availability to all interested parties.
12. Provide support to all departments as necessary ensuring proper closing and funding of all loans.
13. Keep informed investor changes to ensure loans are salable in the secondary market and the price is adjusted accordingly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision of Secondary Marketing lock desk and agency shipping staff.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor degree in Finance or Business required.
Seven (7) years of Secondary Marketing experience required.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Microsoft SQL experience a plus
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Advanced math skills needed and experience with all mortgage related financial transactions
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
