Job Title: Channel Operations Marketing Program Manager
Introduction:
The Channel Operations Manager will ensure that our Together Commerce Alliance partners, Toshiba’s umbrella partner program, are fully equipped to meet their growth goals by managing and maintaining comprehensive partner marketing programs and their efficient operations, including channel resellers/VAR’s, ISV’s and more. Responsibilities range from working both strategically and tactically, as well as cross-functionally, in the design and execution of operations for indirect sales channels, to advising and executing on the appropriate programs and methodologies as part of the evolution of the channels eco-systems – including managing partner status/eligibility, co-marketing/MDF programs and processes. As a result, this makes it easier for our partners to do business with Toshiba, while enabling channel sales to achieve their short and long-term objectives for sales revenue, profit, and market penetration. This also includes working with key stakeholders to define sustainable processes and support for channel opportunities, as well as championing reporting and compliance activities. This role is pivotal to creating the foundation for win-win growth between Toshiba and our amazing Business Partners.
Required Skills:
- Good understanding of B2B partner programs, owning and improving programs to drive growth for channel resellers/VAR’s, ISV’s and other partners (ideally in high-tech and/or retail industry)
- Outstanding communicator who understands how to tailor information to engage and demonstrate value based on your audience; whose presentation skills are characterized by clarity and brevity.
- Solid financial fluency, understanding how decisions made have an impact on our business and our business partners.
- Highly capable of analyzing information, reporting/measuring activities and impact; making recommendations based on insights to peers and upper management. Confirmed analytical skills with an emphasis on execution.
- Knowledge seeker, continuously pursuing, trialing, and dissecting the latest marketing trends and hottest new technologies.
- Strong motivation, and creativity to successfully reach partners, create conversations, build, and nurture relationships with key decision makers.
- Experience successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously, maintaining a high-volume pace with the ability to “switch gears” quickly as the conversation warrants.
- Ability to deal with a rapidly changing environment, pivot and navigate as necessary, and drive for clarity.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with the retail technology industry, either on vendor or client side
- Experience with using Salesforce (CRM), Oracle, Pardot, Canva, Asana
Areas of Expertise & Special Skills:

Responsibilities:
Alliance Program Management. Project manages key elements of partnership channel offerings, incentives, and Alliance programs. Updates programs annually (including MDF, BP incentives, benefits, etc.), communicates changes to key stakeholders, etc. Collaborates with key stakeholders to establish defined operational processes to support the indirect channel strategy.
- Channel: Gold & Diamond maintenance, quarterly evaluation of eligibility and presence on the website (analyze revenue data and skills points).
- ISV: Coordinate with Dimple and David Inch to keep list of ISVs current and make sure Portal and external list current.
- Solutions: Annual validation of Solutions Partners in all geos and keep Portal & external list current.
- Services: Work with global teams to make sure all Authorized Warranty Services Providers (AWSPs) are listed and reflected properly on external pages.
- Operational support, including but not limited to Access Oracle Channel Management tool to update the partner records with current Alliance levels,
- Coordinate the current Alliance levels for partner users with the Marketing on Demand access, Coordinate the shipping of new Alliance plaques to Gold & Diamond partners, Coordinate images and content for social media for the Partner Showcase Page.
Channel Communications. Manage various communications to/from channel partners, helping drive and advise company on targeting effective content to partners.
- Pardot templates for channel communications.
- “Flash” communications to partners.
- Contribute to Channel Navigator content for newsletter, social media.
- Notification of CA recycling law (once per year).
Memberships & Partnerships. Manage channel & partner specific memberships to ensure Toshiba is engaged to raise awareness and assist with marketing lead gen opportunities (i.e. RSPA, RTN); support associated events, webinars specific to these relationships.
Manage Partner Portal Content and Experience. Own official partner portal overall user experience, content management and improvement projects; also related tools that partners access for information to ensure a smooth partner experience and easy access to information.
- Act as subject matter expert for portal, including knowledge of how portal works to load content, manage links, etc.
- Be responsible for documentation, communication, reporting, etc.
Financial Efficiency & Reporting. Drive efficiency and effectiveness in channel operations, manages planning, forecasting and other partner MDF processes internally at Toshiba and/or through 3rd party provides (i.e., 360 Insights)
- Ensure accurate monthly forecast submissions for channel/partner expenses, including direct Toshiba spending and MDF co-marketing spending (soon via 360 Insights)
Align Company to Support Partner Growth. Drives alignment with Channel Sales, Sales Operations, Finance/Accounting, Legal, Solutions, and other internal teams to support channel programs.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and channel partners throughout the lifecycle of channel opportunities.
Manage Channel Net Promoter Survey. Annually, own managing the targeted partner/reseller lists, review/update questions, communicate with internal teams throughout the process and ultimately help analyze output, prioritize actions and ensure company is effectively responding to priority actions.
Perform other related duties as assigned. (Example: reach out and work with partners related to participation at major events like NRF, audits for JSOX compliance)
