Job Title: Social Media and Marketing Executive (B2B Publisher - Live Events Industry)
Location: Kent, England
Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media and Marketing Executive to join our B2B publishing company, specialising in serving the live events industry. As the main key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective social media strategies, creating compelling content, and implementing marketing campaigns to promote our brands and drive engagement with our target audience.
Hours of Work: Flexible (£30,000 pro-rata) (Minimum 25 hours per week)
Place of Work: Office based, (rural Ashford Kent) for the probationary period – flexible/hybrid working ongoing
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive audience engagement across various platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook).
· Create and curate engaging and relevant content for social media channels, including posts, articles, videos, and infographics.
· Monitor and analyse social media metrics and performance, providing regular reports and insights to optimise campaigns and improve audience reach.
· Collaborate with internal teams, including editorial and sales, to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in social media and digital marketing.
· Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance tracking.
· Conduct competitor analysis and research to identify new opportunities and optimise our social media presence.
· Engage with industry influencers, thought leaders, and relevant communities to expand our network and enhance brand reputation.
· Support the planning and execution of live events, trade shows, and conferences, ensuring consistent brand messaging and promotion across various channels.
Requirements:
· Marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred, but the right attitude and understanding of social media and content is of upmost importance.
· Work experience as a Social Media or Marketing Executive, preferably within the B2B publishing or live events industry.
· Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation, and community management.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
· Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and marketing automation software.
· Solid knowledge of SEO, digital advertising, and email marketing.
· Experience in event planning and live events is a plus.
· Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the live events industry.
· A proactive and collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
