Mobility is set to change more fundamentally than it has in a century.

The very foundation of how we move about is being shaken to its core, with electric vehicles,
autonomous driving, and ride hailing set to completely revolutionise the delivery of mobility in the
2020s.

Meanwhile, the service delivery of how we browse, buy and finance our cars is changing at similar
break-neck speed. Tesla’s success has sounded the death knell for the large, out-of-town retail
spaces with the intimidating, opaque environments that car dealerships have become synonymous
with.

Over the next 3 years, we’re set to develop and deliver an entirely new online journey for clients,
centred around the personal, expert client experience we have become known for.

We will retain this personal approach, while developing an unrivalled digital experience for clients, harnessing our expertise for the professional markets we serve.

We’re building a marketing team to help turbo charge the work of our already established superstar sales team. Marketing at P+B will accelerate new customer lead generation, optimise leads through the sales funnel and engage our existing drivers (customers) to make them love P+B and come back and back again every time they need a new vehicle.

The Role:

As a member of a small marketing team, you’ll own marketing of our EV salary sacrifice schemes. These schemes operate much like the well-known “cycle to work” schemes, it is a way for employees to pay for an electric car through their salary, before tax and national insurance is deducted. We partner with employers to be their exclusive scheme provider, then it is the role of the sales and marketing at P+B to promote this exciting employee benefit to their employees, and to convert them into leads and ultimately drivers of a car from P+B.

You’ll take ownership over salary sacrifice scheme marketing, creating strategy and implementing plans for how we deliver qualified leads from these schemes to our sales team, support those leads through the funnel and then keep them engaged once they become drivers. You’ll very much have a blank canvas as to how we achieve this, this is a new role in the business and such salary sacrifice schemes as a whole are relatively new ground for us so this is a real opportunity to come in and shape our schemes growth engine from the ground up. There will be a multitude of ways of reaching these employees that we need to consider, so you’ll be a real T-Shaped marketer, able to operate across a number of channels depending on where you see opportunity for growth.

While this role is primarily a B2C role, and initially will be focused on the acquisition of individuals, in time it might expand to incorporate the acquisition of employers themselves.

As a small team, you need to be able to strategise and roll your sleeves up and implement. While in time the team may grow to include other members, right now the schemes team is all you. Though you will be able to call on other cross functional teams and external resource to get the job done when required.


Experience/Skills required

  • You might not be skilled in all these areas right now, but even if you feel you don’t cover all areas of the role we’d still encourage you to apply and tell us how you might learn those areas that you don’t have current experience with;

  • Demonstrable experience in a role where you have developed cross functional campaigns to drive business results.
  • Proven T shaped experience with a depth of expertise in at least 1 marketing channel, and breadth in at least 2 others (and enthusiasm for adding to this list!)
  • Able to think in growth loops as much as a more “classic” marketing funnel. Even better if you show how you’ve used growth loops to drive…...growth.
  • Ability to analyse marketing effectiveness and how it contributes to commercial success.
  • You love to be at the intersection of strategy and execution, knowing your vision is only as good as the results you deliver.
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done at pace, leveraging strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work across a business and influence individuals and teams outside your core function.
  • We are building our marketing stack so are currently platform agnostic, but you should be able to demonstrate knowledge of CRM, Analytics and CMS systems at a minimum.

Nice to have
  • Knowledge and experience of the car industry.
  • A personal interest or professional knowledge of sustainability related topics- a shift to electric vehicles is a big part of our longer-term strategy.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment- We sell financial products.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, rapidly scaling founder run business.

Our Recruitment Process

  • We have a three-stage interview process, giving you plenty of opportunity to learn about Pike + Bambridge and the role. While the vacancy will remain open until filled, we expect to commence initial candidate screening w/c 17th July:

  • 20-minute call for an initial screen, two-way culture fit and more info on the role
  • 90-minute in person interview - conversational style, taking a deep-dive into previous experience, the role and culture at P+B. This stage may also require some preparation in advance by way of a presentation or case study.
  • 60-minute final interview over lunch including agreeing metrics, role plan and any final questions.
