Digital Services and Marketing Manager
Department: Revenue Strategy - eCommerce and Digital Marketing
Reports to: Corporate Director of Digital Marketing and Communications and Chief Revenue Officer
Summary:
The goals of the Digital Services and Marketing Manager is to improve the customer experience, enhance brand.com to improve ease-of-use, content richness and convert “lookers” to “bookers”, ultimately driving traffic to the hotel website. In addition, the goal is to optimize hotel presence and pricing in eChannels, grow share of B2B group and corporate markets and equip the hotel teams in the field to capitalize upon “e” to improve their sales and drive revenue.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWebsite Optimization:Maintaining and updating websites as needed using appropriate brand tools.
Updating photos and online listings.
Maintaining Yext content for online listings
Researching and integrating new Brand services, technologies and tools to increase online traffic and revenue
Keyword/phrase research and implementation
Assisting with SEO efforts
Creating/strengthening keyword optimization in online copy.
Creating & coordinating content when needed.
Develop digital marketing plan for individual hotels and /or clusters of hotels in conjunction with hotel and regional teams
Identify link building opportunities and execute on partnerships in conjunction with property Director of Sales.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the General Manager, Director of Sales, Regional Director of Sales, or VP of eCommerce & Digital Marketing.
OTA Audits and Updates:Regular Audit of hotel presence on Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, Booking.com & Kayak for Imagery, basic descriptive content, amenities, room types; star ratings & map placementStrategy and Analysis:Working closely with the Revenue Management, Regional & hotel-based teams in establishing and maintaining strategies for online success
Identify new marketing channels and opportunities that will deliver maximum exposure to consumers looking to travel into the market.
Capturing, reporting and analyzing online statistics for SEO, PPC, e-Mail and Social Media campaigns
Communicating efforts and results to the field and to senior leadership.Advertising and Promotions:Coordinating all electronic marketing efforts: electronic direct mail, banner ads, PPC, SEM, viral efforts all within brand guidelines
Assisting with the research and analysis of our hotels’ current online marketing presence and developing efforts to improve organic reach
Assisting with growing relationship with brand partner, using available brand opportunities to increase online reservationsReputationMonitor online reviews for all reputation sites
Assist and consult local property team in responding properly to online reviews
Qualifications
Experience in hospitality marketing highly preferred
Analytical mindset with experience delving into data and identifying opportunities through multivariate testing and landing page optimization
Solid command of SEO strategies and tactics
Proficiency in digital advertising strategies including paid search, programmatic display, retargeting and paid social media
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Website copywriting experience a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines
