Retailer Marketing Manager Canada

As a key member of the sales team, working cross functionally with Brand Marketing, the Retailer Marketing Manager is revenue centric and will focus on retailer satisfaction through daily engagement with the sales team and successful execution of marketing campaigns. The position directly benefits sales and marketing teams by increasing customer advocacy, identifying sales opportunities, guiding and supporting sales team, becoming the retailers go to expert in the fruit gum category. This position requires creative marketing and communication skills to engage and motivate. An outgoing individual who will act as a liaison between the customer and the rest of the organization. While being able to work independently, recognizes the importance of collaborating with other departments to create an incredible retailer experience.
The position manages the development, and supports in the sell-in and oversee execution, of winning category solutions to support continued and sustainable growth for HARIBO including promotional strategy, retailer specific assortment strategy, distribution KPI’s, display KPI’s. Utilizing all available data create, deploy to sales team and deliver to retailers compelling HARIBO brand and category stories that will capture the minds and hearts of all that can influence HARIBO sales. Oversee execution of critical sales functions, such as business planning with sales team, forecasting consensus and marketing program execution to maximize sales and ROI.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop category and retailer strategies and tactics under the supervision of Country Manager
- Support Brand Marketing on effectively communicating brand goals and vision to the retailer
- Ensure all parties that touch the consumer understand the brand and can effectively communicate this understanding to the consumer
- Utilize insights to provide recommendations to the business on strategy and process adjustments that can be made, positioning the brand for continued growth
- Own the functional relationship between HARIBO and the Key Account Team
- Become and expert on key retailer business, utilizing this knowledge to become the internal voice for the retailer
- Facilitate top to top meetings, bringing together all key stakeholders for conversations about the business
- Provide the sales team and retailers with everything they need to successfully execute on brand strategies
- Provide Brand Marketing with everything they need to successfully develop brand strategies
- Facilitate tough conversations between brand, sales and the retailer, guiding them to a resolution that creates a win, win, win scenario
- Own the planning process with the sales team, ensuring that final plans achieve all targeted KPI’s
- Own guidelines for SKU assortment by channel by retailer and promotional planning, successfully deploying to sales team, on-going monitoring to ensure the plans of the sales team are in-line with these guidelines
- Utilizing all sources of sales data, generate compelling category, manufacturer and HARIBO brand story in an effort to achieve brand objectives
- Provide sales team with effective sales deck that will support in sell in of new product launches, seasonal programs, ranging expansion and business with potential new customers
- Engage in monthly forecast scrubs with sales team, continuously improving on forecasting accuracy and delivery of plans every month
- Support sales team in retailer meetings by delivering compelling category, manufacturer and HARIBO brand story, increasing KAM success of selling in desired objective
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in an CPG/FMCG environment
- Excellent knowledge and application of PowerPoint and Excel
- Proven track record of delivering results through others
- Strategic and creative thinker with deep experience translating insights into strategies and business plans
- Must have proven ability to drive results with a high degree of personal initiative and leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited resources
- Must be skilled in analysis and problem solving and have excellent project management skills
- Earns credibility and commands the attention of others by effectively communication verbally and in writing; strong presentation skills
- Has successfully built strong relationships with retailers and dynamic sales teams
- Listens and fosters open communication through questioning, dialogue, and information sharing
- Advocates ideas and effectively negotiates to achieve mutually successful outcomes

- Bonus – account management experience in CPG/FMCG environment

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $150,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
