Marketing Manager

Leicester

We are currently working with a major engineering contractor specialising in overhead rail electrification who are looking to build upon their Marketing team by hiring a Marketing Manager based in Leicester. As Marketing Manager, you will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of executing successful marketing campaigns, developing, and implementing marketing strategies and driving brand awareness and digital media efforts.

As Marketing Manager your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and senior management to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals and set objectives.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to understand competitor activity and opportunities.
  • Identify target audiences, key messages, and marketing channels to effectively reach and engage potential clients and candidates.
  • Develop strategies to position our services as the preferred resource supplier within the infrastructure sector, focusing on Network Rail and Tier 1 contractors.

Campaign Management:

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to plan, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, print media, events, and exhibitions.
  • Design new Company Internal Newsletter
  • Set-up exhibition stands / seminars / conferences for company events (internal & external) overnight stays will be required on occasions.
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to design, develop and maintain an annual PR strategy. Will be required to work with an external PR Distribution agency.
  • Create compelling marketing messages and collateral that effectively communicate the unique value proposition of the Powerlines & P&I Resourcing services.
  • Monitor campaign performance and analyse key metrics to optimize marketing efforts and achieve desired results.

Brand Management:

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual representation across all marketing materials and touchpoints. Will be required to work with an external agency in certain circumstances.
  • Develop and implement employer branding strategies to position Powerlines & P&I Resourcing as the employer of choice in the infrastructure sector and other sector opportunities. Focus on attracting and retaining key personnel by emphasizing diversity, inclusion, career development opportunities, training provided and employee benefits.

Digital:

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to design and develop a Digital Marketing Strategy covering all channels to market and best mediums to use.
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to map out the varying user journeys on the P&I Resourcing website. A new website may be required. Input into the overall design, theme and output working alongside an external website design agency.
  • Build out a digital content calendar. You will be required to work with varying areas of the business in promoting out success stories, latest news updates, safety news, candidate news etc.
  • Design and build email marketing campaigns internally & externally.
  • Design and build a digital newsletter.

Lead Generation and Conversion:

  • Work with the Head of Marketing and senior management team to identify and evaluate distribution channels to ensure our services reach the target audience effectively. Establish relationships and partnerships with relevant industry organizations, trade associations, and recruitment platforms to expand our reach and visibility.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop lead qualification processes at events/exhibitions and ensure smooth handover of leads/contacts.

Marketing Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyse marketing performance metrics, including website traffic, conversion rates, and campaign ROI.
  • Generate regular reports on marketing activities, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies, optimize marketing budgets, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Customer relationship management: Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs, preferences, and feedback. Use customer insights to enhance marketing strategies and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty. Any other duties in the best interest of the company.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5-10 years proven experience in marketing roles, preferably in the B2B or recruitment industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the marketing mix and its components, including product, services, price, promotion, and distribution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret market research and data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth.
  • Familiarity with the infrastructure sector and knowledge of Network Rail and its Tier 1 contractors is a plus.
