Your New Role


We have an exciting Opportunity for a Head of Marketing Communications to join our senior leadership team, reporting to Laura Fox, Director of Marketing Communications.

As the Head of Marketing Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand for growth across our 4 capabilities: Advisory & Analytics, Consulting, Transport Infrastructure, and Complex Facilities. Your main objective will be to work with the business development teams to deliver a comprehensive marketing communication plan that reflects our commitment to growth and sustainability. You'll be at the forefront of promoting Amey’s capabilities externally and strategically through various channels, including targeted media, events, and awards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strengthening brand relevance, consistency, and engagement across all touch points by fostering strong internal relationships.
  • Collaborating with Business Areas Communication Leads to support business development and work-winning activities.
  • Crafting marketing communication plans that position Amey as a leader in our sectors and support business growth.
  • Aligning the External Communications strategy with the Recruitment Marketing strategy to position Amey as an attractive employer of choice.
  • Leading and developing your team members while maximizing the resources of the wider comms team.
  • Creating compelling marketing materials, including client collateral, presentations, thought leadership, newsletters, press releases, social media content, and blogs.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Proven senior experience in marketing communications, preferably in a large complex organisation.
  • An excellent understanding of social media platforms and how to leverage them for PR and brand awareness strategies.
  • Experience in working within a high-growth B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in building and managing a diverse and skilled team.
  • Essential experience in leading marketing communications strategies in a corporate setting.
  • Successfully built and nurtured relationships with senior stakeholders through strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A degree in a relevant field is desirable but not essential for the role.
