Summary of role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in marketing! You will join a vibrant team within a growing institution. Established in 2002, Escape Studios offers an industry-focused education in creative arts and technology across animation, games and visual effects.

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Team in driving lead generation for Escape Studios. We’re looking for someone with bold ideas and good copywriting skills. Experience in Higher Education is not needed but you must have an interest in education, youth marketing and/or the creative industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing Team on the delivery of marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and brand awareness for our undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses.
  • Produce marketing materials and content such as digital guides, printed materials and online campaigns to promote our degrees, courses and products to target audiences.
  • Lead the execution for marketing campaigns that drive lead generation.
  • Produce engaging copy for emails, web, print, online and social media channels that’s in line with our editorial and tone of voice guidelines.
  • Stakeholder management - liaising with tutors, industry partners and students when required to source imagery and get support for our marketing events.
  • Create and publish relevant content for our Escape Studios social media channels as part of a working group.
  • Create advertising assets for suppliers.
  • Create and maintain pages on our website (www.escapestudios.ac.uk) using our content management systems (full training given) and ensure that content reflects is created in line with our guidelines and resonates with prospective students
  • Maintain and ensure external profiles and course listings are up to date.
  • Provide administrative support, including raising purchase orders, booking meetings and taking notes.
  • Support the Student Recruitment Team on stands at recruitment events when required.
  • Provide support for our enquiries hotline and website live chat.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and to work occasional evenings and weekends to support out of hours events (with time off in-lieu).

Essential:

  • Show a willingness to learn and the ability to become highly proficient in all aspects of the marketing mix: digital marketing, content, print, web, email, direct and student recruitment channels.
  • Show a willingness to learn about website content and customer journeys.
  • Have a creative flair with excellent copywriting skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience to work in a changing organisation and flexibility to support other teams when needed.
  • Confident and clear communicator.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Undertake multiple projects whilst meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality outputs and attention to detail.

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Microsoft Teams, Outlook email and calendar, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • An interest in films, games, TV and the creative industries.
  • A knowledge of Higher Education.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
