Over the past few years, we have strengthened our portfolio to include the Metcalfe’s popcorn brand and Yellow Chips in Emmeloord, Netherlands. Job Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to join Valeo Snackfoods working across some of the nation’s best loved confectionery brands including Wham, Fruit Salad and Flumps. The role will involve working with and supporting the brand and insight teams in the execution of our strategic plans, leading and coordinating projects cross-functionally, providing you with the chance to make a real difference in the future of a growing and exciting business.
Key Accountabilities
Supporting and Executing Marketing Plans:
- Being the expert on competitor activity across all platforms, updating the team and weekly tracker with the latest product launches, campaigns, and news.
- Managing and fulfilling sample requests from the brand teams, coordinating internal Marketing stock levels.
- PR campaign support, including liaising with PR agency to fulfil requirements and supporting the brand team in any events or activities
- Managing PR inbox, using your judgement on which opportunities to pursue.
- Supporting product launches, including coordinating pack & e-commerce visuals, updating Brandbank, maintaining launch document and any other information required.
- Keeping brand websites up to date, using WordPress platform.
- Liaising with social media monitoring, creative and website agencies on general enquiries across digital platforms.
- Purchase branded materials when required, utilising existing suppliers to maximise cost efficiencies.
- Management of your designated brand projects, working cross-functionally to deliver launches through the gate process.
Cross Functional Customer Focus:
- Work closely with Shopper Marketing and Sales teams in setting up and working at company events and shows.
- Coordinating pack and case mock-ups, being the resident expert in creating perfect packs for photography.
- Assisting in brand plan production and execution, including customer samples.
- Working with consumer services to respond to consumer queries or issues that arise.
- Check compliance instore/online of planned Marketing activity.
Engaging Inside and Outside of the Business:
- Creating a monthly newsletter to update customers on relevant Marketing activity.
- Updating internal stakeholders on Marketing plans and engaging with multiple sites across the business.
- Keeping all branded assets (signage etc) across multiple sites up to date, liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders for maximum ROI.
Market Data and Financial Analysis:
- Monthly updating of market data for business-wide use, presenting the data into useable formats.
- Using market data to extract brand and competitor sales figures for brand projects.
- Origination of purchase orders using IFS system.
- Liaising with commercial finance on gate document P&L’s and ADHOC financial reviews.

Experience and Qualifications
· Educated to degree equivalent or higher
· Experience in an office setting
· Marketing based work experience
· Project management skills

· A good ‘head for numbers’
· Photoshop/Illustrator experience would be valuable
· WordPress experience is useful but not essential
· Full, clean driving license

Salary: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
