Location: Commutable from Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Redhill, Croydon, Brighton and surrounding areas

A leading manufacturing company are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their highly successful and growing company. The role reports into the Marketing Manager and the successful candidate will have previous experience in a Marketing role
The company have around 130 staff across UK, USA & Europe – 115 staff in UK. They are well established with a low staff turnover, mostly due to the fact they are a good company to work for with their open and transparent communication, offering careers rather than just jobs.
Responsibilities
- Help to always promote the company’s corporate profile and image.
- Assist with maintaining marketing activities which meet agreed company objectives.
- Carry out graphic design revision and updating work:
o Work with existing InDesign and Photoshop files.
o This could include re-drafting of advertisements (magazines, digital banners), brochures, exhibition stands, sponsorship graphics.
o Ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to, and messaging is tailored to the relevant product/audience.
o Creation of product and service documents and datasheets for internal and distributor use; including information-gathering from various internal departments.
o Liaising with internal personnel and distributors to gather foreign language translations.
o Build responsibility for own design work overtime.
- Assist with creation of self-service photo library for Sales team and distributors.
- Assist with reorganisation, updating and maintenance of company’s PowerPoint asset library.
- Management of sales model distribution ensuring the database is accurately maintained.
- Manage any shipments required for exhibition/conference marketing material liaising with the relevant internal department or freight forwarder.
- Search and preparation of press cuttings; disseminating information as applicable.
Requirements
- A strong communicator with a high standard of written English.
- A good eye for Graphic Design, with experience and competence in Photoshop and InDesign; matched with a desire and willingness to learn and develop design skills and body of work.
- Computer literate, including CRM database aptitude.
- A well organised and methodical multi-tasker with a meticulous eye for detail, being able to work and respond well under pressure.
- A motivated self-starter and determined progress-chaser, adept at driving projects forward.
- Degree qualified (preferably within a Marketing or English Language discipline).
- A brief portfolio of graphic design work
- Confident and adept with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word. Basic to Intermediate level Excel skills.
- Experience in execution of digital marketing campaigns, e.g. banner ads/e-mailshots.
- Experience and understanding of Google Analytics and AdWords/Bing/LinkedIn campaigns.
- Has worked with an e-mail marketing platform such as Mailchimp
- Has used YouTube and/or Vimeo (or similar) for business purposes.
- Experience within a website content management system
- Copywriting skills will be an advantage.
