0.5 FTE – 2.5 Days per week (FTC 6 Months)


Are you a forward-thinking and aspiring marketer ready to take your next steps into a exciting career in B2B technology marketing? In this role you’ll get varied exposure to lead generation, product marketing, branding and communications, events management, customer marketing, marketing operations and digital marketing. You will be an integral member of our marketing team focused on showing the value and impact of good marketing. In exchange for your valuable skills, you will be given both support and flexibility to develop your marketing career.


What you will be doing


You will strive to thoroughly understand Pelion’s ideal customer profile. You will perform enrichment and analysis on lead lists through manual and automated means. You will research the wider IoT market and report potential opportunities or threats to Pelion which will inform the wider marketing strategy. You will collaborate with your colleagues to analyse other areas of marketing to continually improve Pelion’s overall impact and increase brand awareness.


You will be a trusted member of the team; supported by digital marketing and social marketing experts who will rely on you to bring new ways of thinking to our marketing plans. You will be given clear direction on the go-to-market strategy and will have access to a variety of marketing automation software to aid you in developing marketing qualified leads.


Key responsibilities


  • Understand buyer journeys to enrich lists with relevant contact details of prospects likely to be part of the customer buyer journey. Create lookalike lists that match our ideal customer profile. Continually strive to improve said lookalike lists with constructive feedback from the marketing and sales functions. Utilise marketing automation software to your advantage by developing your skills with SEMRush and Hubspot.
  • Understand target buyers to identify areas of content needed to maximise the chances of engagement with the Pelion sales team.
  • Collaborate with various teams within Pelion to gain insights into industry competitors to support strategic planning. Conductresearch and competitor analysis identifying and monitoring key players in the industry. Gather data on competitors' products, services, pricing, marketing strategies, and market positioning. Analyse and interpret market trends and emerging opportunities.

What we’re looking for


Essentials


  • Holds a degree or working towards a degree in business/marketing or a related subject.
  • Basic understanding of theory in B2B marketing/sales funnels and analytics.
  • Ability to take initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Desire to learn about our business and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Confidence in presenting ideas to the wider revenue team and collaborating during team whiteboarding sessions.

Desirables

  • Previous experience of using SEMRush and Hubspot or other CRM and marketing automation tools.
  • Previous experience of lead generation.
  • Previous experience in a marketing/sales role.
