There’s an opportunity, in our B2B Marketing Communications team, within Brands, Marketing & Experience, for a highly motivated Marketing Assistant.
We have a clear ambition – to become the best bank for business. Our purpose as a team is to deliver outstanding marketing communications for business customers to maintain strong brands, deepen our relationships and grow our business profitably. You’ll be working across a variety of marketing channels but mainly with a focus on 121 communications.
The right candidate will want to deliver the best customer experience and most effective marketing, so we’re looking for someone who pushes boundaries, seeks new opportunities and strives for improvement.
Experience is important, but so too is mindset. We value individuals who bring ideas, energy and a ‘can do’ attitude to overcome hurdles and drive projects through to timely completion, with an eye for detail and an ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Work with an Assistant Marketing Manager or Marketing Manager to assist on the management of campaigns including:
- Creation of briefs to internal and external agencies
- Manage the approval process for materials, gathering feedback from internal colleagues and briefing agencies on changes required
- Developing timing plans to ensure work is delivered on time to tight schedules
- Follow the Financial Promotions approval process
- Make notes following up after meetings so actions are clear (specifically next steps – who, what, by when)
- Review performance of campaigns to evaluate and recommend improvements
- Budget management support including raising purchase orders
- Complete all Mandatory training and reading
Key Skills
- Marketing experience, preferably in B2B.
- Good communication and influencing skills that can be deployed at all levels.
- Ability to work optimally and collaboratively with agencies.
- Excellent attention to detail and good project management experience.
