The Programme
Generation Logistics is programme of events, activities and promotions designed to increase the number of people considering logistics as a career, and positive sentiment about logistics, especially with key target groups including 14-24 year olds and their educators. In short, it is about encouraging the next generation of logistics workers to engage with the opportunities available and keep the nation’s supply chain protected.
This is an industry-led campaign, governed by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT(UK)), and Logistics UK, but is fully supported and partly funded by government, with DfT acting as lead supporting Department. Generation Logistics has over 40 sponsors and partners, all of whom are committed to inspiring the next generation of logisticians.
The Role
As a Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the relationships with sponsors, partners and suppliers and supporting the Programme Manager on delivering contractual obligations with stakeholder groups, including supporting with engagement and education activities.
Generation Logistics has a comprehensive digital marketing programme, led by an external agency, which includes social media, website, and PR activities. As a Marketing Assistant, you will assist the agency with the creation and delivery of campaigns, monitoring sponsor activity across channels and assist the Programme Manager with sponsor relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reporting on sponsor deliverables
- Support the creation of communication plans and reports for stakeholders and maintain accurate records of sponsor engagement
- Lead on aspects of sponsor engagement, such as case studies, filmed content and jobs and events boards
- Manage the regular sponsor bulletins to increase sponsor engagement
Skills and Experience:
- A flair for copywriting and excellent attention to detail
- A demonstrable interest in social media marketing
- Collaborative mindset and a flexible approach to working
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Strong communication skills, adaptable to a range of audiences
- Driving licence and access to a car preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
