Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our talent agency as a part-time Marketing Assistant/Team Assistant. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the marketing efforts of our agency, which specializes in representing trailblazing social talent. In addition, you will assist with general office tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our agency. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on, practical and transferable experience in the entertainment industry while contributing to meaningful projects that leave an impact.
Responsibilities
Content Creation: Assist in the development and creation of compelling marketing content, including social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and promotional materials. Brainstorm and pitch new methods to highlight the important work we are doing.
Social Media Management: Monitor and maintain social media accounts for the agency and its clients. Engage with followers, respond to comments, and proactively seek opportunities to grow our online presence. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and identify opportunities for social media campaigns.
Marketing Campaign Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns to promote our purpose-driven creators. Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget. Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and potential marketing opportunities. Collect and analyze data to gain insights into consumer behaviour, competitor strategies, and industry developments. Present findings and recommendations to the marketing team.
Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of events, such as talent showcases, product launches, and charity initiatives. Coordinate logistics, liaise with vendors, and provide on-site support during events. Capture content and engage with attendees to maximize exposure.
Office Assistant:
Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence. Maintain databases, organize files, and prepare reports.
Travel and Accommodation Arrangements: Assist in making travel arrangements for talent, staff, and clients, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation. Provide detailed itineraries and support as needed.
Character and Qualifications:
Enthusiastic self-starter, who’s interested in learning new skills.
Takes responsibility for delivering on actions, achieving high standards and learning from mistakes.
Ability to adapt to working well with new people in a collaborative, understanding, and engaging way.
Relevant Work Experience: Prior experience or education in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the entertainment industry or working with purpose-driven individuals is a plus.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging content and interact professionally with clients and team members.
Social Media Savvy: Proficiency in social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snap and YouTube. Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics is a plus.
Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Tech Proficiency: Comfortable using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite. Experience with graphic design and video editing software is desirable.
