Job Title: Marketing and Sales Executive

Our vision is to make Mash Direct a national household brand in the vegetable accompaniments and side dishes category throughout the UK and Ireland.
What your job is all about:
As Marketing and Sales Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing and sales team. You will work alongside our Head of Marketing to implement and deliver effective marketing and PR campaigns to promote and raise awareness of the brand. You will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to create compelling campaigns to raise the profile of Mash Direct throughout the UK and Ireland to support business growth.
Part of your role will involve connecting with our customers and clients to raise the profile of the brand by getting involved in sales and retailer support. You will assist with packaging and design, delivering major marketing campaigns, attending food events, and connecting with internal members of staff to ensure we deliver marketing and sales plans.
Essential Criteria
- Educated to 3rd level in a marketing, communications, public relations, business, or related discipline/subject.
- A minimum of one -two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable criteria
- Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) desirable
- Experience within the FMCG sector
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent -On Site
Salary: £23k-£25k per year (depending upon experience)

What you will be doing:
- Marketing Support & KPI’s
- Developing and delivering creative marketing campaigns.
Contributing to the planning, delivery, and implementation of internal and external marketing campaigns.
Assisting with campaign reviews and evaluations.
- Retailer Support & Availability
- Supporting the sales team and individual account managers to deliver the sales strategy
Assisting the sales team in preparation for trade shows and new product launches.
Communicating with the factory to ensure promotional stickers, awards, usp’s, marketing campaigns are flashed on product.
Assisting with the design, print and distribution of POS and sales packs to support sales reps and merchandisers.
Assisting with traditional support for key accounts and regional support.
Monitor and sign off on all retail samples going out via CAE.
Providing sales admin support to the Sales Director and sales reps by issuing product information, barcodes etc.
Communications (Internal)
- Liaise with internal departments to identify how the marketing team can assist and support their department and business projects.
- Working with the Head of Marketing to develop marketing and communications plans.
- Sharing PR coverage with relevant departments and utilising the team’s platform.
Packaging & Design Agency
- Work closely with in-house teams and external agencies to design, publish and print marketing materials such as brochures, sleeves and adverts.
- Preparing weekly work schedules and track design hours.
- Preparing briefs, proof reading and signing off artwork with agencies.
- Preparing, amending, reviewing sleeves ensuring we meet agreed timescales and assist with developing plans to launch products.
- Liaising with our procurement manager and NPD department to assist with new product launches, packaging amendments and sourcing marketing materials from suppliers.
Food Photography
- Organise photo shoots, PR calls, liaise with media, photographers, and videographers.
- Prepare briefs and attend photo shoots.
Awards & Sponsorships
- Prepare an awards plan in line with company objectives and marketing strategy.
- Identify award opportunities and prepare award entries for the brand.
- Co-ordinate awards activity with internal departments.
- Review success of awards and evaluation ROI.
- Provide information for awards entries and ensure sample requests are organised.
- Measure and track awards success and communicate internal and external stakeholders.
- Work in collaboration with sponsors, partners, and external organisations to raise awareness of the brand and implement effective communication plans.
Events
- Planning and coordinating activity for consumer and trade events, (currently UK & Ireland) including delivery of on the day activities
- Ensuring we have all equipment and marketing materials for events.
Liaising with the factory, preparing orders and logistics for stock at events.
Carrying out evaluations and surveys.
Other duties
- Act as a brand champion for Mash Direct and support on marketing activities and initiatives.
