The Opportunity:

We’re excited to be recruiting for our next Marketing & Communications placement scheme, which will be a 13-month placement scheme running from the beginning of July 2023 until the end of July 2024. This is the second year recruiting for an intern in our integrated Marketing & Communications team following a hugely successful first placement in 2022-3.

Operating as part of the TBUK Marketing and Communications team, you will support Triodos in delivering a first-class service to the UK business. This placement has great variety and involves collaborating with and gaining exposure to the various areas of market and communications such as PR & media relations, internal comms and events.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

PR & media relations

  • Media monitoring and analysis - tagging and organising coverage
  • Preparing 'Morning News' internal newsletter
  • Researching awards opportunities
  • Personal and business customer case study coordination
  • Assisting with monitoring and drafting responses to customer reviews online
  • Writing articles for our blog, basic press releases and general proofreading
  • Liaising with Business Banking Relationship Managers on case studies and Know Where Your Money Goes entries

Internal Comms

  • Drafting and publishing articles for internal community platform 'Engage'
  • Supporting on organisation of our weekly all-co-worker community meeting

Events

Support Triodos physical and virtual online events by:

  • Arranging literature and equipment for events
  • Support the delivery of the Triodos Bank UK Annual Meeting
  • Support the delivery of internal events for co-workers

What we are looking for:

This role is suitable for a placement student who is studying PR / communications, or an arts/humanities subject and has an interest in a career in marketing, events or PR. The bulk of the activities envisaged are entry-level activities suitable for someone in their first professional role

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with an ability to work confidently and effectively with internal teams and external partners. You will have strong communication and analytical skills with a good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Finally, you will be a diverse thinker with an adaptable and flexible approach and have a genuine interest in positive social and environmental change. It is desirable, but not essential, that you will possess an understanding of the different aspects of marketing and communications.

Offer
