Job description
Marketing Analyst
We are seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful Marketing Analyst to support our marketing team and the wider business. In this role, you will have a crucial role in defining the marketing and wider business strategies by researching, identifying and recommending key business opportunities and revisions through data, insights, reports and project leadership. You will work closely with marketing to connect our analytics to our campaigns, and bring the marketing and wider business closer together on how our business is represented to our audiences.
To ensure success, you will be highly self-sufficient but also a brilliant collaborator who can work with, and adapt to, various departments and different levels of seniority. You will possess the ability to own projects and develop ideas to drive the business forward through analytical methods.
This role is not only data driven but also requires a qualitative approach; the ability to recognise and approach partnership opportunities, increase the networking and reach of the company and improve our brand positioning.
Marketing Analyst Responsibilities:
Industry Intelligence – create a framework for, and develop insights into, the industries in which we operate; help the company to better identify, understand and explore opportunities, prioritise key projects, and better inform business decisions.
Competitive Analysis – help develop and transform the company brand positioning and identity through key competitor findings. Create a framework of analysis that can be adapted and updated annually to maintain fresh insights into how the industry operates and evolves, and share findings with key departments as appropriate.
Data & Analytics – leverage the data from our web, social and paid activity to help evolve our digital strategy; produce reports that explore audiences, engagement and user behaviour, from SEO to social media to web and paid media, and make recommendations based on insights, with particular attention given to customer user journeys to improve conversion and retention.
Research – deliver research projects as required to enhance the company’s ability to forge relationships and improve our audience reach; identify and approach potential marketing and media partners based on relevance and strategic requirements of the marketing team, ranging from paid media opportunities, influencers, sponsorships, content writers and podcast guests.
Paid Media – support the marketing team in the delivery of paid media campaigns by providing insights into the previous and existing campaigns; work with digital agency to continuously evolve the audience profiles and targeting requirements, and make recommendations to the digital marketing team on timings, content and budget.
