Risk Reporting & Middle Office (RRMO), a group within Corporate Risk is responsible for reporting and analysis to internal Risk Management and to Regulators; monitoring controls and the quality of risk data, and is accountable for the management and execution of key reporting projects. The group produce daily, weekly & monthly risk/ financial overview reports which are used by various key stakeholder, external parties such as Regulators as well as the Firm's most senior management to monitor risk profiles. The group also has project management responsibilities for major projects within and outside the group.
This role is part of the RRMO group and lies specifically within the Market Risk Reporting team in Bournemouth. The team work closely with stakeholders to produce reports at the Firmwide and Legal Entity level used to assess and monitor the Firm’s capital requirements. This role is an ideal opportunity for you as an experienced and enthusiastic person to learn or expand knowledge of market risk management in one of the leading global financial services firms. As a Vice President within the Market Risk Reporting team, you are expected to lead the team and manage below responsibilities.
Job responsibilities
- Proactively assess the effectiveness of controls in place and develop action plans to address control deficiencies or gap identified.
- Develop new reports or metrics to meet internal or external requirements
- Oversee the control processes through periodic review of reports, queries, reporting tools and Standard of Procedures.
- Identify and execute on opportunities to automate manual processes
- Partner with cross functional teams and lines of business, mainly Market Risk Coverage, Product Controllers, Technology, Compliance and Audit to collaborate on report production, control assessment, migration testing and projects.
- Lead multiple projects and reporting needs by working with teams across the globe and create work plans, manage expectations and quality standards for required deliverables
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in reporting, financial analytics, or similar roles
- Ability to multitask, think independently, and make continuous progress towards meeting business objectives
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of execution
- Acute attention to detail and control driven mindset
- A developed leadership presence capable of effective messaging to colleagues, stakeholders, and management.
- A background of working with Technology products or systems to meet project objectives is preferred
