REM (Reengineering & Expense Management) works in close partnership with the businesses and support functions to identify and execute opportunities to manage expenses through strategic sourcing, demand management, process reengineering, and procurement management for all firm wide expenses. Within REM, the Global Market Data group includes Market Data Analysis, Sourcing, Administration, and Inventory Management teams.
The Market Data Analysis team partners with each Business Unit (BU) to analyse, evaluate, and understand business requirements for market data, to identify the data sources and vendor products needed to execute the business, and to influence and advise on best-fit solutions. Key functions of the Market Data Analyst role include trusted advisor BU relationship management, analysis of BU requirements and consumption drivers, engagement with vendors on product/service offerings, and development and execution of demand management programs.

What will you be doing?
In alignment with your BU coverage, partner with the BU COO teams and stakeholders to provide advice, guidance, and education on market data products and spend drivers to influence their business unit strategy for market data services.
- Be the point of contact for the business and end users for vendor data and product requests not currently used in the Firm or within that business area.
- Provide guidance on product choices by matching best product to user needs and facilitate trials where required.
- Coordinate the execution of product displacement strategies and product upgrades.
Vendor Knowledge and Management
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of vendor strategy, vendor account overviews where available and product roadmaps.
- Manage strategic direction for product demonstrations, pilots, competitive displacement opportunities.
- Liaison point between the business unit and the sourcing team for global contract renewals to identify potential action based on new costs, features, or requirements.
- Utilise business unit and vendor knowledge to create and advocate for strategic cost
management and best-fit product choice initiatives such as vendor displacement, product upgrades, and business unit market data audits.
- Lead / participate in global initiatives.
- Partner with Market Data Analysts in the other regions.
- Develop Business Unit plans that clearly identify the key focus areas of the engagement with each BU.
- Produce management summaries for active initiatives and projects.
-Cost Management - identification and realization of savings opportunities which may arise from activities such as contract renewal right sizing and vendor product displacement programs. -Partner with Finance Reporting to facilitate relationships with BU COO teams for them to present financial reporting.
- Input into Budget setting process with any insights in BU growth, new vendor spend interest.
- Provide insight into BU activity and product deployment to Inventory and Admin teams for processing.

What we’re looking for:
Candidate should be intellectually curious, detail oriented, proactive, assertive, and have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and advocate for recommendations/solution implementation; critical thinking and translation of business needs to actionable items; ability to analyze undefined, ambiguous requirements and clarify to specific tasks and deliverables.
Ability to communicate market data strategies and influence/gain buy-in for the ideas that are being proposed.
Team player who is self-sufficient, can effectively prioritize deliverables, and flexible to changing priorities.
Deep product knowledge (data content and functionality) across the broad range of data providers.
Fluency with all MS Office tools.
