Learn more about our team and company story here. What is the purpose of this role in the delivery of our mission? The Market Analyst will provide strategic and analytical support to drive the commercial success of the company's business-to-consumer (B2C) crypto payments operations. The role involves analysing market trends, identifying opportunities for growth, and developing strategies to optimise revenue and profitability in the crypto payments space. What are the key responsibilities / activities of the role: Market Analysis of Crypto payments landscape. Market specific payment data mining. Finding best sources of data, as input into regular customer news updates, individual customer recommendations and product roadmap Design and production of reporting and analytics 'product' including regular reporting pack, which should include items such as market data (1 above), customer performance by market v Orbital portfolio, Google analytics on hosted payment pages, compliance case statistics. Audit/input into quality standards of customer implementations. Recommendations for individual customers to improve their set up including associated business cases - might be country rollout, transaction size limits, UI/UX, choice and ordering of coins accepted etc. Operationalise regular reviews. Input and drive of the product roadmap based on customer analytics, market analytics, Compliance and regulatory tools. Compliance - design of customer compliance transaction monitoring dashboard and Orbital's own supplementary transaction monitoring product (supplementary to Chainanalysis controls) Responsibility for the contents of the B2C sales toolkit including working with marketing on production of materials, product updates and What is the scope of accountability for the role: Market Analysis and Strategy Performance Monitoring and Reporting Business Planning and Forecasting Owner of B2C Crypto Payments sales toolkit and regular service review deck(s) What are the skills, qualifications and experience would be beneficial for the role? A background in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or digital payments is essential. Experience in gathering and interpreting market data, conducting competitor analysis, and identifying customer needs in an eCommerce environment. Proficiency in data analysis tools, statistical analysis, and data visualisation. Skills in using tools like Excel, SQL, or data analytics platforms. A solid understanding of business strategy and its application to the crypto payments industry is essential. This includes the ability to identify growth opportunities, evaluate competitive positioning, and provide strategic recommendations. Experience with product development Understanding user experience (UX) design and product roadmaps. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying complex information to various stakeholders. The ability to present findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Strong teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills Understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and their implications in the payments industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with different cryptocurrencies, their features, and how they are used in transactions can provide valuable insights in analysing market trends and assessing opportunities. Experience in pricing strategy and revenue optimization is valuable. Knowledge of pricing models, market dynamics, and strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining competitiveness is beneficial. Experience or exposure to international markets and cross-border payments can be valuable, especially in the context of the global nature of cryptocurrencies.
