Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for coordinating maritime and aeronautical traffic on Ørsted’s offshore wind farms in construction, ensuring a high standard of safety. You'll act as first point of contact in case of emergency incidents, coordinating the emergency response. You’ll ensure that personnel working offshore meet the certification requirements and that activities are executed as planned. You'll maintain a situational awareness of the offshore operations.
Welcome to Global Marine and Helicopter Coordination
You’ll be part of the Global Marine and Helicopter Coordination Centre where you, together with your colleagues, will work in a team within global coordination centre consisting of 13 colleagues, based in Grimsby. We operate 24/7, 365 days of the year. We have coordinated 14 windfarms in construction, across 3 continents, with a growing global future pipeline. As a team, we support each other’s passions and goals, through learning opportunities and knowledge sharing.
You’ll play an important role in:
- emergency response coordination and escalation
- marine and airspace management, granting access to the CDM and assets and providing a flight watch for operational helicopters
- ensuring Ørsted’s medical and training requirements for offshore access are upheld by all personnel going offshore
- monitoring weather, using forecasts and live feedback to coordinate activities as necessary
- providing support to stakeholders in the use of the Offshore Management System
- managing ad hoc assignments.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have experience in coordinating or handling emergency responses
- have a marine, aviation, or logistics background, preferably with radio communications experience
- are computer literate with the ability to learn how to operate multiple new IT platforms to super user level
- take ownership of tasks with the ability to perform in a high-pressure environment
- have a global mindset, with the bandwidth, knowledge, and analytical skills to grasp the project specific requirements and cultural differences within our global portfolio
- aim high, demonstrate passion, and will go the extra mile for the organisation and the team to succeed.
