GE - Renewable Energy would like to recruit a Manufacturing Team Member to manufacture a range of products to meet production plans, ensuring assembly, inspection and test is carried out using Lean methodology. Working to specifications and instructions, using the correct tools and methods. Meeting exacting standards expected by the customer.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Compliance with EHS adherence to safe working operating procedures from the perspective of their own safety and safety of their work colleagues.
- Responsible for the build of the product to the manufacturing plan.
- Responsible for the build quality of the product in line with the standard operating instructions. May be required to assist in the training of others.
- Responsible for the efficient manufacture of the product, respecting and adhering to defined processes.
- Implement where instructed, process improvement actions that will result in sustainable productivity improvements without impairing product quality, delivery performance or safety. Make proposals that you feel will deliver improvements and savings in line with GE processes and policies using the Employee Ideas Scheme.
- Productivity/Leakage/Efficiency Improvements KPI
- Product FTPR (First time pass rate) KPI
- Working to Lean practices, follow routine maintenance schedules and cleaning plans for workstations, jigs, and fixtures. Highlight any issues to the Production Support Engineer/Coordinator. Take part in 5S Audits and maintenance plans
- As and when required support any other duties that may be required to support the manufacturing facility. Be adaptable to all future business requirements. Support GE Beliefs.
Experience:
- Good general standard of education.
- Experience in the light mechanical assembly environment or similar.
- Electrical/electronic qualifications would be an advantage.
