ROLE SUMMARY
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our Global Operations team based in Dunfermline, Fife. The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing development, operation, and leadership of their specific manufacturing team in the UK, working in a complex environment and delivering on corporate goals and Objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads, facilitates, and stands in for the Manufacturing Manager, and co-ordinates the production team to ensure manufacture of quality products and delivery of finished goods in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Leads, motivates, and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues and as a team, to build and maintain a high-performance atmosphere through goals and objective setting.
- Works with peers to implement standard global processes and best practices that consistently deliver products to the highest standards.
- Ensures manufacturing objectives are achieved, along with monthly production schedule targets.
- Optimizes efficiency on an ongoing basis through utilization of lean techniques and methodologies.
- Ensures compliance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures within the manufacturing environment.
- Creates, implements, and manages production performance metrics.
- Works with the engineering team to ensure that production issues are being addressed and satisfactorily resolved.
- Ensures conformance of direct reports to released product-specific processes in DMRs and business processes released on Compliant Pro.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- HNC or above (or equivalent work experience) with the ability to directly support the production line.
- Inherently a leader with the ability to execute and bring the team along.
- Quality focused, with no compromise.
- Excellent motivation and team building skills.
- Excellent Communicator, confident to generate and formally present information to small and large groups of people.
- Need to pull the disparate complexities into a simple product reality.
- Demonstrated understanding of cGMP.
- Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Must have the ability to drive results and maintain personal accountability.
- Ability to build, develop, and foster talent by creating a positive continuous learning environment.
- Excellent organisation skills, focused on execution with strong attention to detail.
- Must show adaptability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a strong work ethic, judgment, and sense of integrity.
- Team orientated, responsive and customer focused.
