Job description
A leading engineering group has partnered with an OEM to develop and launch a number of new innovative products and is now seeking to enhance its specialist team with the appointment of a Manufacturing Project Manager. Candidates will provide Technical and Project management expertise in the development of the roadmap for manufacture and candidates are sought with proven track record of successful new product launch.
Commutable from: Leicester, Coventry, Nottingham, Derby, Nuneaton, Rugby, Loughborough, Coalville.
Salary: £ 50,000 - £ 65,000 p.a. + benefits
Suitable for: Industrialisation Manager, Project Manager, Industrialization Manager NPI Manager.
The Role
Provide Technical and Project management expertise in the development of a production line for the manufacture of new product designs and manufacturing methods from low-rate initial production to volume production.
Key responsibilities:
Delivery of the innovation roadmap for manufacturing technology
Managing and Delivering Manufacturing capability readiness levels using project management tools.
Oversight of the manufacturing system via review of the system KPIs (Cost, delivery, Quality, Safety) and Gate review assessments.
Management, co-ordination and execution of capital investment specifications, quotes, technical design/system reviews, budget justifications
Implementation and commission of new technology processes with the necessary optimisation, verification & validation activities
Identification and securing of third-party funding sources
Protection of IP
Co-ordinate Qualification and first off verification of product
Control plans detailing process parameters limits necessary to achieve the desired product characteristics
Process monitoring systems with defined process limits to control production outputs
The Person
Experience in the manufacturing environment
Strong understanding and demonstration of project management principles
Experience of developing and executing large scale CAPEX projects and site transfers
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, development
Managing internal external stakeholders
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge/implementation of zero-defect tools
