What’s the role?
As our Process Technician you’ll be responsible for monitoring and assessing the manufacturing process across all production machines. You’ll be responsible for collecting data, analysing it, then making and implementing recommendations. Working within a small projects team you’ll identify opportunities to improve safety, increase availability, reduce rejects and rework, and increase speed and output.
The role is Days Shift – Monday to Thursday 0600h-1800h, 46 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- To own the process and ensure parameters are within specification, producing shift reports for process parameter monitoring.
- To support Product and Colour changes as required.
- Responsible for supporting and leading investigations and troubleshooting plant / process problems.
- To assist in resolving problems that may arise with respect to the quality of products.
- To assist in the collection and input of data and undertake any necessary analysis as part of continuous process improvements on the production lines.
- Responsible for developing new and modifying existing processes and equipment, ranging from individual nozzles to whole production lines.
- Support rollout of any improvements across all lines, to include training Production staff in any process changes made.
- To assist and support where necessary plant trials, R&D Projects, and NPI activities, this will incorporate recording machine and process details.
- Working safely at all times, focusing on; increasing uptime, reducing scrap and rework, increasing speed, and increasing output.
- You will be required to complete internal and external training and development that is required to meet the requirements of the role.
- Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
- To adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures regarding health and safety, accounting, minimisation of waste and care for the environment, equality, elimination of discrimination and unfair treatment and prevention of fraud.
- To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time by the business.
Your Background and Experience
- Ideally a Level 3 Qualification in Process Technology (Or Technical Equivalent). Opportunities will be given to train to this level for candidates with relevant experience.
- Strong character with drive, energy and enthusiasm who will have excellent “credibility” with peers.
- Ability to work on own or part of a focused team.
- Ability to prioritise own workload to ensure focus is given to most critical concerns, and effectively escalate.
- Ability to lead and support focussed improvement events and teams to deliver process improvements.
- Hands on approach, able to train others.
