Job Title: Manufacturing Operator – Ceramic Core
Location: Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, EX2
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
Shift: 2 shift rotation; 2pm – 10pm / 2pm – 10pm / 6am – 2pm
Basic Pay Rate: £13.40ph
Overtime Rates: £20.10ph - £26.80ph
gap personnel are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Operators based within the Ceramic Core department at global manufacturing giants Howmet Aerospace located at Sowton Industrial Estate, Exeter, EX2
You will be joining a company of innovators and makers. The role of a Manufacturing Operator is a key position within not only the operations of the site, but also within the supply chain into both the aerospace and gas industries. The site is solely focused on 2 factors: Quality & Safety.
As a Manufacturing Operator within the Ceramic Core department your main responsibilities are:
- High level of focus around EH&S.
- Attention to detail and strong quality focus.
- Work in a synchronized manner as part of a small team focused on detail, precision engineering, quality control and small componentry work.
- Reading from engineering drawings
- Working closely with additional departments such as Press and Kiln Operators
- Setting up small components ready for 3d scans to be processed
- High levels of dexterity
- Ensuring items are handled, processed and packed with extreme levels of care
- To carry out any other reasonable duty as may be required.
