As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for Manufacturing Operatives to join our Chocolate Manufacturing team on a Fixed term contract basis until 15/12/2023.
Rotating Days - 6am – 2pm/2pm – 10pm £20,475 - £22,815 Per Annum
Fixed Nights - 10pm – 6am £24,570 - £27,378 Per Annum
You will be responsible for as a part of the team delivering the production plan in a timely fashion, within agreed quality parameters, manufacturing world class chocolates. Work safely as an individual and as part of the team.
The Operatives will pro-actively work with the Chocolate Manufacturing Technicians to continuously improve performance to the agreed KPI’s and will reinforce the team ethic of HC.

The onsite location for this role is at our Factory ‘Hadley Park’, in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, right in the heart of where our chocolates are made and where weekly, we can produce between 4 to 6 million of the chocolates we all know and love.
Hadley Park is just 5 minutes off the A141 and 1.3 miles from Huntingdon train station, with free parking onsite.
What you’ll be doing….
- Taking responsibility of your own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of others around you and raise concerns to your line manager as quickly as possible.
- Make sure tool and equipment handling GMP rules are followed with care and ownership.
- Ensure 100% compliance with product specification.
- ‘Clean as you go’ approach to working area and equipment.
- Ensure the asset / process removes risk of foreign body contamination proactively.
- Food safety standard compliance and hygiene, and PPE policies adhered to
- All paperwork compliance in line with technical requirements for Food Safety. Proactively be involved in changeovers and setting up the asset/line.
- Work in line with the team with production control systems, KPIs to achieve plan target and cost.
- Ensure welcome approach to agency colleagues, teach and support in their learning and development.
- Understand and control material usage and escalate material quality and quantity concerns to your line manager as soon as possible.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements.
- Be able to challenge constructively and to be able to receive feedback openly.
- Have a collaborative working approach.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- GMP knowledge
- Knowledge of KPIs
- Knowledge of continues improvement tools.
- Passion and ownership of the line and the work area
- Verbal and written English
Desirable
- Food safety level 2
