Pertemps are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative to work for our client based in Lincoln who specialise in the aerospace industry. While working in production you would be responsible for assisting with the forging process and manufacturing various products.
What you will I be doing as a Manufacturing Operative?
- Adherence to all safety and quality processes and procedures.
- To input new programmes and modify existing programmes on computer controls.
- To organise die and tool storage and heating of dies in readiness for production.
- To undertake fettling, painting of billets and shotblasting duties
- To carry out repairs to dies and tools during production.
- Check dimensions against process sheets or sketches.
- To assist with the successful introduction of new/modified parts.
You will be required to work a two-shift pattern which will be Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:00pm then Monday to Thursday 2:00pm – 11:00pm and 2:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday.
How much will I be paid?
You will be paid £25,400 – £27,500
What skills will I require?
- Experience in a heavy industrial or engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- FLT licence desirable but not essential
