Under the guidance of the Director of Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Manager plans, and oversees the day-to-day production facility at the Huronia Road. To include; planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing of all manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
Education Essential:
Degree in Operations Management from an accredited university or college preferred; will consider 10+ years’ experience as a production/ manufacturing manager or related experience in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge Essential:
- 5-10 years manufacturing management experience.
- Experience supervising hourly employees.
- Scheduling, work planning and inventory experience.
- Experience with lean manufacturing.
- Proficient hands-on ERP/MRP systems experience.
Skills and Abilities Essential:
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills in order to resolve conflicts and problems.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and manage the production schedules for the 340 Huronia Road manufacturing facility, in order to achieve business objectives, while ensuring product standards are met.
- Collaborate and interface with all sales groups (AES and APC) on all order management, scheduling and delivery objectives. To include reviewing raw material and scheduling availability in order to provide accurate and timely responses.
- Responsible for the coordination of labour and material flow, to ensure all departments within the production facility have the appropriate resources.
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the plant through implementing manufacturing action plans to ensure safety, production and quality standards are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage labour and materials variances within the ERP system, driving accuracy and better utilization.
- Coordination of on-time delivery to ensures orders are made to be shipped, and respond to issues relative to on-time delivery, scrap, etc.
- Manages and coordinates the changes to production systems, methods or work and equipment.
- Participate in providing data and input to the Director of Manufacturing for analysis of capital equipment and operating structure changes.
- Participate in hiring, training and performance management of production staff.
- Engage in building a positive culture, coaching and mentoring, health and safety and continuous improvement efforts.
- Accountable for adhering to the operating budget of the Morrow Road facility and participating in analysis of cost reductions.
- Develop and prepare various reports to manage and drive corporate KPI’s.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to drive capacity and efficiency within the facility.
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
- Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
