Roles and Responsibilities
- Championing key site deliverables of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Reviewing technical documentation to ensure adherence to quality and driving efficiency throughout processes.
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and adoption of Lean principles
- Carrying out pro-active audit programs to stay aligned to quality control and that our say/do ratio is 1.
- Lead projects related to your process from initiation to project completion… including product quality, compliance, and yield of processes.
- Work closely with SPO team, EH&S, Maintenance, Operations and NPI Project Leader in adherence to GE Aviation Management of Change requirements on projects and minor site changes.
- A key stakeholder who is responsible for coordination of difficult licensed and proprietary repairs.
- Being a subject matter expert to close out audit findings and quality reports through RCCA.
- Work closely with NPI Project Leader to identify and implement projects that meet the strategic needs of the business and to justify the business case through data driven evaluation.
- Participate in the sites general engineering activities and issues including existing daily shop management structures
- Part of Gate 2 business strategic initiatives.
It is intended that the scope of this role may develop as successful candidate’s knowledge and experience grows.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates should possess an engineering qualification and / or should be able to demonstrate significant technical experience in production or manufacturing engineering
