Geely Auto Technical (Deutschland) GmbH (GATD) is a R&D facility of Geely Auto Group in the heart of Germany and attracts top automotive talent in Europe. It puts technology and innovation at the forefront of its Group and is responsible for the development of premium and luxury vehicles under the Geely Auto umbrella. It will keep strengthening the strong presence that Geely Auto Group already has in the region while injecting a management style that is fit for Europe.
GATD is a global team developing and delivering excellent, innovative solutions in new electrified propulsion systems and next-generation mobility technologies. There are currently over 130 engineers (information stand: February 2021) from different backgrounds of OEMs and Tier-1s researching in a variety of projects for the Geely family. GATD works closely with other R&D centers of Geely worldwide and is growing rapidly with the plan of gathering 300 talents of all nationalities in the Frankfurt and Rhine Main area – in the center of Germany and in one of the most vibrant clusters for automotive industry.
As an Engineering Graduate you will be supporting business critical activity whilst developing core and technical skills through rotation and development opportunities. You will be directly supporting the delivery of our Vision 80 transformation and objectives
Role Objectives
- Successfully complete functional rotations delivering on the required objectives and developing strong relationships across the organisation.
- Support the implementation of business improvement projects and product deliverables.
- Develop a deep understanding of Lotus operations and area functions responsibilities.
- Understand DFMEA/PFMEA process and be able to write and score PFMEA’s understanding risks and mitigation plans
- Undertake a significant process improvement project with defined targets and milestones that increases efficiency of Manufacturing Operation
- Understand and learn Industrial Engineering process and Lean Processes e.g. Kaizen, Yamazumi etc and undertake a number of Kaizen projects
- Develop strong working relationships with functional mentors and rotation managers
- Maintaining effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to create a sense of community amongst teams at all levels and departments within Lotus.

Knowledge
- Qualification - Degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Production Engineering or similar qualification
- Manufacturing or engineering experience / placement
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
