Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) are excited to be looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.
Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques. TRT is beginning to use more advanced technologies in its repair processes such as robotics, adaptive machining and laser deposition.
The core business of TRT Ltd is the repair of turbine blades and vanes for Civil Aerospace, Military and industrial gas turbine engines.

The primary responsibilities of the engineering team are:
- New Product Introduction - (Developing manufacturing methods to repair components in accordance with approved designs and implementation of new technology to increase effectiveness and efficiency of repairs)
- Method Improvements – (Identifying areas for improvement on repair methods to increase yield and Right First Time, reduce cost and turnaround time whilst ensuring product quality)
- Production Support – (Investigating and acting on arising issues to support the shop floor team)
Minimum Requirements
- Level 3 Engineering Qualification (e.g. BTEC) or Equivalent Experience/Qualifications
- Problem solving and creativity
- Excellent written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Managing own projects to meet plans
Desirable
- Engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge and Experience of creating and amending Routecards and Datacards.
- Aerospace Manufacturing/Design Knowledge and Experience.
- Knowledge and experience of gas turbine blades and vanes and associated manufacturing or repair processes.
- Knowledge and experience of diffusion coatings processes.
We are looking for someone who has a passion about engineering. This role will require you to have a great attitude and high levels of motivation. You will have good problem-solving skills and will be able to work well both as an individual and as part of a team.
In addition to these, the successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies, including for health and safety.
Applications for part time working will also be considered with a minimum of 20 hours per week, with salary worked out on a pro-rata basis. Please state in your application if part time is your preference.

Salary: £24,000 - £51,000 dependent on experience and qualifications
Expected Start Date: June 2023
Responsible To: Engineering Lead
