How will you make an impact?
The Manufacturing Engineer II is passionate about enabling manufacturing excellence through preventative maintenance, calibration, and validation of equipment. What we do matters because our work has a direct impact on people’s lives, and we take that responsibility seriously. This individual will also collaborate with Project Management, Operations, Quality, and other Manufacturing Engineering partners to drive product design Improvements and triage defects from factory and/or customer failures.
A Day in the Life:
- Independently conducts sophisticated validation/qualification protocols.
- Assure product quality by testing process capabilities; establishing standards; and confirming manufacturing processes.
- Prepare equipment and process reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Complete implementation and integration of automation systems.
- Production scale-up: manual, to semi-automated & fully automated solutions.
- Provide domain expertise on the technical details for our products and automation hardware/systems including leading and participating in design reviews.
- Document equipment designs and drawings to support new equipment orders.
- Participate on project teams as a technical representative for Manufacturing Engineering.
- Maintain accurate records and training file in accordance with site standard.
- Independently solve manufacturing issues.
Keys to Success:
Education
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. Equivalent work experience and knowledge can substitute.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience working in ISO 13485 regulated company.
- Experience with device manufacturing processes qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) preferred.
- Product manufacturing, inspection, and testing experience is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- High level problem solving, and reasoning skills required.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team environment, to multi-task, to handle frequently changing job functions and to rapidly learn new techniques and approaches.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
