The Role
We have exciting plans to improve our products, manufacturing processes and now require a Manufacturing Engineer to help implement these ideas. The successful candidate will be required to work alongside our design and production teams to upgrade our manufacturing processes with a focus on designing world class welding and assembly jigs. Experience is not essential. We are looking for a candidate that matches our company values who will learn from our experienced in-house design team.
Key Duties / Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Design and manufacture of welding jigs and systems
- Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes
- Continuous improvement of product for ease of manufacture
- Providing production support to improve product quality
- Implement and test new product improvements
- Ensure manufacturing drawings and manufacturing data is kept up to date
Essential Criteria
- Passion for design and manufacturing
- Willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing
- Experience of robotic welding
- Experience designing welding jigs / fixtures
