This is an exciting time to join Honeywell. We have an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer at our Santa Clara, California facility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sustaining engineering support for the existing product lines including initiating and implementation of process improvements for all areas of the plant operations. This includes improvements in safety, quality, productivity and costs.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement
- Support and coordinate activities to identify and develop robust, cost-effective processes to scale-up and transition new products and line extensions into manufacturing. Conduct process development work to transition products and processes from lab-scale / pilot reactors to high volume manufacturing systems.
- Define process parameters and develop manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and execute capital projects including automation initiatives to improve HSE, quality, plant capacity and reliability while lowering operating costs.
- The Honeywell Operating System (HOS) is an integrated system built on a strong Six Sigma foundation to drive sustainable safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory improvements that will give Honeywell a competitive advantage.
- Each employee is expected to support efforts behind sustaining and improving the standards of HOS in their daily work.
- Develop and maintains strong working relationships with all internal/external customers and suppliers. Provide technical support to them and mediate engineering issues with them.
- This position will have the responsibility of managing multiple projects simultaneously. We are seeking a self-motivated individual capable of working both independently and with others.

MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ of engineering experience, working in a manufacturing environment.
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
WE VALUE
- Excellent communication, project planning and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of statistical process control
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of applied statistics, DOE, SPC and SQC methods preferred
- Chemical, polymer, fiber manufacturing experience preferred.
- SAP knowledge and/or usage.
- Knowledge of process equipment and controls.
- Strong computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office and other related software programs
- Strong people skills to work with other areas inside and outside the facility.
- Reactor and/or Chemical processing experience
