We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Engineering Mfg Liaison to support operations in Palmdale, CA.
Under general supervision and with intermittent review, this position supports program engineering and manufacturing by serving as a liaison between the engineering and manufacturing departments.
This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational aspects of one or more project(s) and serves as a liaison between program management and the project team, planning, engineering, Flightline management, and the customer on issues such as operational and scheduling concerns. Monitors and analyzes program development progress and expedites critical path components and processes to maintain schedule. Assesses project issues and develops solutions to meet production, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project management, Flightline management, and the customer. Continually reviews status of project(s) and budgets to ensure project(s) are completed on time and within budget. Responsible for decisions which have an impact on outcomes and where failure to complete assignments will typically result in serious delays and expenditure of additional resources. This position involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews, evaluates requirements based on known field, project and production requirements are met.
- Supports production projects, influences and guides personnel across functional organizations.
- Effectively organizes and executes work assignments to meet project milestones.
- Identifies issues, analyzes and interprets data, and develops innovative solutions to a variety of complex problems.
- Uses analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
- Assists in and/or monitors the design and development process by coordinating between various engineering, manufacturing, production control, maintenance groups.
- Monitor transaction in all data bases to ensure proper guidelines are followed.
- Ensure total visibility of customer assets while supporting worldwide requirements
- Contributes to process and procedure improvements for the department.
- Detailed working knowledge of MRP system - review material procurement, manufacturing and cost status.
- Ability to manage direct touch labor charging.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, planning or a related discipline and five or more years of progressive experience in planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must possess:
- The ability to resolve complex management and technical problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, management and outside representatives
- The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Knowledge of computer operations and applications related to the position
- Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
- SAP experience desired.
- Air Force supply chain experience desired.
