Job description
- Ensures processes, systems, and governance that supports NPI, capacity analysis, change management, CAPEX, subject matter expertise and other position requirements.
- Builds the team structure and ensures correct resources are secured to accomplish manufacturing demands. Ensures all members of the department are trained, developed and able to perform their tasks safely in a timely manner.
- Engage in the manufacturing prototype gate to ensure design for manufacturability, and understand development of manufacturing prototypes through production release.
- Ensures processes yield capable manufacturing outcomes at the right time and cost.
- Ensures the SIOP equipment and people capacity model is in alignment with current or expected (growth investment) outcomes.
- Develops the industrial engineering capabilities to drive cycle times that are realistic, balanced, and practical. Provides a framework that will clearly guide the equipment expansion requirements.
- Oversees all manufacturing CAPEX projects and spend for plant improvement projects. Requires submittal for approval, tracking, reporting and execution. Established budget, timelines, deliverable and presents to management.
- Leads change management to ensure that key milestones are defined, resources are aligned, validations are completed, and all stakeholders are engaged. This applies to design, process, tooling, supplier, and any other changes that may affect the manufacturing outcomes.
- Creates standardized process documentation, i.e., control plans, work instructions, and standard work.
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement actions on plant processes. Works with team to ensure resources are prioritized based upon impact to business, business case, and are in alignment with continuous improvement framework.
- Uses measures to quantify results and to identify corrective actions needed.
- Maintains metrics and KPIs on leading and lagging metrics and driving continuous improvement activities to improve business outcomes.
- Facilitates technical problem solving by ensuring processes and methods are in place to identify technical problems before they become crises and determine appropriate action to solve technical problems.
- Tracks technical problems to identify trends and determine cost-effective ways to eliminate root causes.
- Focus on lean manufacturing (5S, VSM, SMED, takt time, line balancing, etc.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience required.
