Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer’s responsibility is to manage product implementation, develop and maintain production processes, and provide support to the Production team. This position coordinates with design engineering, quality, supply chain, and other departments to drive projects and achieve goals. The Manufacturing Engineer must also focus to develop, test, and evaluate systems for managing production processes, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conduct investigations and develop controls for improving product quality
- Create process documentation and develop procedures
- Oversee engineering handover to production with a hands-on approach
- Document issues with production processes and implement corrective action plans
- Responsible for the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of process equipment
- Participate in engineering design reviews to ensure products are designed for manufacturability
- Draft and design floor layouts and jigs
- Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control
- Recommend and implement methods for improving utilization and efficiency
- Conduct time studies and establish times for efficiency tracking
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years engineering or quality-related experience in a manufacturing environment. A plus to have experience in LED lighting or automotive manufacturing.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of or experience with Lean Manufacturing.
- Self-motived, self-starter, ability to work independently to achieve strategic goals.
- Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
