Manufacturing Engineering Assistant

Salary Range
$19.00-$24.00

Job Responsibilities

Creare is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Assistant to provide administrative support to the Manufacturing Engineers in managing hardware production activities and performing quality assurance activities. Some specific job duties include:

  • Draft routers, pick lists, and Manufacturing Orders (MOs) in ERP system (Costpoint); submit to Manufacturing Engineers for review/feedback/approval.
  • Create MO work packages; perform kitting/labeling of related parts, and gather necessary tools and fixtures. Submit work requests to the Fabrication Center.
  • Obtain quotes for outside services; initiate purchase requisitions.
  • Expedite work within Creare Fabrication Center and with outside services; monitor timely progress to meet project schedules and milestones.
  • Handle supporting documentation including Non-Disclosure Agreements with suppliers, copy/scan/archive all MOs and work orders, prepare folders for client inspections and delivery.
  • Perform Receiving inspection (QCI) as back-up to QC Inspector.

Professional Requirements

The Manufacturing Engineering Assistant will need to be able to learn and understand all aspects of Creare’s fabrication workflow and management approaches, be a quick learner and user of Creare’s ERP system, and adhere to Creare’s Quality Assurance policies, notifying appropriate personnel to any and all quality concerns.
The ideal candidate will have completed or pursued education (certificate program, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree) in Business, Engineering/Technology, or Manufacturing related field with outstanding academic achievement and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with MS Office suite and ERP systems/databases is required. Individuals should be attentive to details, a good communicator (written and verbal), motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
